Mothers Day/Fathers Day

The Los Paseos Association is pleased to honor the mothers and fathers in our community on their special days. On Sunday, May 12th, we will be serving champagne and strawberries to all of the mothers who come to the pool. There will be a special event for fathers (details to be announced) on Sunday, June 16th. Please join us on those days to celebrate these special people.

Presidents Message

Thanks to those of you who returned the questionnaires we distributed in February. We're reviewing your input and using it to help us plan events and activities for the upcoming months. I encourage you to enjoy our beautiful spring weather and to get involved in your community.

Wine Tasting

The Wine Tasting event was huge success, with over seventy people attending. Our thanks go to Chairman Jan Strockis and her committee of one, Sharon LaRosa, for all of their planning and hard work. Their husbands, John Strockis and Sal LaRosa, also helped to make the evening fun for everyone. Special thanks to Raul Luna, a caterer from our community, who prepared all of the wonderful food for the occasion. He thanks his wife, Mabel, and their daughters Mariana and Erica for their assistance.

Spring Cleaning

With the pleasant spring weather and sunny skies we're seeing lately, it's time to take a look around the house, garage, and yard and see what we need to do to get ready for the wonderful months of outdoor living that we're so fortunate to experience here in San Jose. We all look forward to clean-up, weeding, planting, and painting to get our yards ready for barbecue season. If you need to dispose of any large items, call Recycle-Plus, which has a contract with the City of San Jose. They will pick up any three large items for $19.00. Contact them at 277-2700.

A Reminder-If You Plan to Remodel or Landscape�

If you're planning to make any major changes to your home or property, you will need to complete a project form for the Architectural Committee of the Los Paseos Homeowners Association. Call Sharon LaRosa at the Clubhouse to get a form. The City of San Jose also requires that you provide this documentation in accordance with the CC&Rs to obtain a building permit.

Clubhouse Rentals

The season for graduation parties, weddings and showers, Mothers Day brunches and Fathers Day barbecues is fast approaching! Do you know that our Los Paseos Clubhouse is available for private party rentals? It's convenient, inexpensive, and well-equipped for your event. Use of the kitchen is included, and there are folding chairs and tables, as well as barbecue facilities for your party. Call for available dates and cost.
