MoonBean's Coffee, located at 6221 Santa Teresa Boulevard in South San Jose, opened a new European-style espresso bar and roasting company on January 6th. The company was founded in 1994 by Jennie and Brian Reynolds (then 23 years old) with a coffee cart and a profound love for the beverage. Now the couple has three locations - Stanford University, Good Samaritan Hospital and the new Santa Teresa store. Perfecting the art of roasting will now be their primary focus.
During the month of January, MoonBean's Coffee will be giving out a free 12 oz. drink of your choice with the purchase of a pound of coffee. Already, customers have returned rave reviews about the freshly roasted coffee.
Additionally, MoonBean's Coffee is looking for local artists who are interested in showing their work (please call (408) 281-8128). Each month, a new artist will be showcased.
MoonBean's Coffee is a full service coffeehouse that serves high-quality coffees, mocha freezes, pastries, bagels, panini, daily soups and of course, whole or ground-to-order beans to take home. On the other hand, it is so cozy with the roaster fired-up, you'll probably want to relax a while.
