Subj: St. Stephens Episcopal Church news From: [email protected] (Roy Morse) This year, a committee at St. Stephens Episcopal Church will begin looking into the probability of adding a building on its property to be used as a combination Community Center/Fellowship Hall. Our intention is to have the building used for after school activities for the neighborhood children during the week and for other community uses in the evenings when not in use by the church itself. In addition to funds from the church building reserves we will be working to get grants from various sources for the venture. St. Stephens will also be working with New Creation Lutheran Church as a joint venture if detail can be worked out. We at St. Stephens have talked about this for a couple years but financial matters have prevented us from taking an active step in accomplishing this goal. We realize our children need a place to meet in safety and with adult supervision. We will keep you and the community informed as progress is made with this project. Feel free to contact us if you would like additional information, or know of any contacts that may be of interest to us. Roy L Morse |
