Subj: Vehicle Tampering From: [email protected] (Bankston, Christina) I just wanted everyone to be aware that my family has been the victim of "vehicle tampering" (according to SJPD). On several occasions, (since the beginning of the year) our cars have been "egged". Even guests, that were parked across the street from our house, have fallen victim to these "eggers". I have called the SJPD on three separate occasions to report these incidences and was told that they would beef up security or patrols in our area (Santa Teresa and San Ignacio Ave). This helped for awhile but a few weeks ago, I came out in the morning to find that my car (which was parked on the street) had been shot with a paintball. This left a dent and some of the paint from the ball will not wash off. I have heard from others in the neighborhood that say their cars have also been egged. If anyone else has been the victim of a similar situation, please e-mail me so that next time it happens I can tell the police that others in the area are experiencing the same problem. It seems to help if a lot of people complain rather than just one or two families. My e-mail is [email protected] Thanks, Christina |
