In the first week of April, we noticed that some mail was taken out of our mailbox, and was replaced with a folded piece of newspaper. We stopped the mail carrier to talk about it, and she mentioned that she found several mailboxes that day with similar newspaper sections. She also mentioned that there had been other problems in the neighborhood with stolen mail recently.

This was on Cottle Road, south of Curie. We put the mail in the box Wednesday night and it was gone by 1 p.m. the next day. This is similar to the report posted by [email protected] as both incidents were on garbage collection day.

We were lucky to notice it right away so we could put stop payments on everything. We don't put checks in the mailbox anymore!
