When I spoke with Todd Caperso in the City offices, he informed me that my neighborhood south of Curie at the end of Cottle, would have to be satisfied with La Colina (1.1 miles away) or the new 4 acre park to open in place of the Driving Range. Interestly, I noticed in the minutes to the La Colina Park meeting that a City Official advised that La Colina is intended for neighbors in the IMMEDIATE vicinity only (within a few blocks). Quite a contradiction, however, it does support my concern that there is not a neighborhood park within walking distance to my home, and what can be done about that.
