Subj: Local Boy Running for Governor
From: [email protected] (Ronald Horii)

If you haven't noticed, we have one of our own local boys running for Governor. He's Daniel Watts, who's from the Santa Teresa area. He graduated from Santa Teresa High School and is now a college student at UCSD. His platform is to reduce student fees, particularly at UC's. At least he has a specific platform, which gives him a headstart over Arnold. He also complains about Fry's. That should garner him the most votes.

Daniel has his own Website:
http://www.wattsforgovernor.com/index.asp

Here's an article about him:

Here's the Merc article about local candidates:
http://www.bayarea.com/mld/mercurynews/news/local/6592078.htm
The Metro has a funny article about local candidates:
http://www.metroactive.com/papers/metro/08.21.03/losers-0334.html

Ironically, Daniel is a staff writer for the UCSD newspaper and wrote an article about Governor Davis' visit to the campus:

Daniel may be a long-shot for governor, but his candidacy will look really good on a job or grad school application. I don't know if he's asking for campaign contributions, but I'm sure he could use money for books.
