Subj: Re: Asbestos and Ceiling with Popcorn Finish

I got my ceiling tested by a certified lab. The results came out positive. It has 2% Chrysotile. I believe it is the most used form of asbestos, less harmful than amphiboles and 90% of the products we use have them.

Nevertheless, I am getting it removed by a certified asbestos contractor. If your house was built before 1980, you may be better off getting it tested for asbestos.
