Subj: Re: Re: safety in santa teresa From: [email protected] You might consider installing a video surveillance system. They are available at fairly low cost and you could probably install the camera(s) yourself. This technique was useful for a neighbor near us, during a rash of auto break-ins/burglaries. There were some specific people suspected of these crimes, but the video proved it. The perpetrators were caught "in the act" on video, and a copy was provided to the police. Another useful item is a motion floodlight in the yard. You can install it/them wherever you like (to shine on your car in the driveway, curbside, etc.). We have one in the front and side yards at our home. Once it is dark outside, they will go on whenever motion is detected within range of the fixture. They tend to be quite an effective deterrent, keeping people from coming up into the yard or driveway and messing with anything. |
