Subj: crime From: [email protected] Just a warning to all of my Cottle/Curie neighbors. I live on Mayo Drive and our van was broken into in the sometime early Sunday morning. It was parked in my driveway and they took a portable CD player and, more disturbing, my garage remote control. This is the third crime of this kind committed in my quiet neighborhood in the past three months that I know of. They also broke into my neighbor's truck -- the first time this happened to him three months ago they actually stole the truck. On Sunday morning when we discovered the break-in there was a gang tag on another neighbors property down the street. Is there a connection? I filed a police report and they said they would step up patrols. I urge everyone to please keep your doors locked ---that also means the inside garage door leading to your house. Also, please keep your eyes and ears open and watch out for your neighbors. If you are the victim of ANY crime PLEASE file a police report. They need to know what's going on here and won't take us seriously unless it's all documented. I am sick that our nice, quiet neighborhood could turn into prey for dirtbags. If anyone is interested in participating in an organized Neighborhood Watch please contact me at my e- mail address. I will be looking into this very soon. |
