A youth center is what this community could use. It might keep young adults out of trouble (like spray painting or what not). It would keep them focused on doing something positive with their time. A youth center would also offer role models which would put a stop to the downward spiral that I've seen the childeren take in the past 10 years. I feel that our children deserve an outlet where they can play or engage in activites where they feel safe. I don't know how this youth center could be funded, but I am sure that some of our local businesses wouldn't mind contributing to the well being of the community in which they operate. Also, parents would probably not mind paying dues or other fees to have their children involved. Most importantly, we need to provide options to these children, so they are not spending their times out on the streets.
