If I didn't love this area so much I swear I'd move right now. I am so fed up with our school district.

Was anyone else's child left waiting for a bus on the first day of summer school? Well, mine was, and regardless of the reasons, the Transportation department's excuse was "It's not our fault." My son has been registered for summer school since early May but the district office supposedly didn't give Transportation a list of which kids were to go where until last week. I say supposedly because I called on Monday and was told which bus he was to be on (they must have already known), and yet the bus never showed up at the CDC where my son was waiting. All of the other busses came, but not my son's bus. I finally got them to send another bus.

This is the same school district that took 5 months (3 months longer than State guidelines) to do a special education plan for my son. I've had it!

Glad I got it out of my system. Hopefully this is just a first day, weird thing.
