You are correct! If an American flag is flying at night, it SHOULD be properly illuminated. My American Legion post finally got the Post Office in Cupertino to put lights up on their flag. I'm glad to see the flags flying in the parking lot! It makes me wonder though, why has everyone taken their flags down in front of their houses? After 9-11 it was hard to find a house without a flag - now, I think there is 2 on my street (including my own).
